Who’s eligible for acupuncture?

  • With very few exceptions, everyone is a candidate for some form of acupuncture treatment. Our youngest patient is one week old, and our oldest patient is 96 years old!

 What do you use for acupuncture treatments?

  • With very few exceptions, everyone is a candidate for some form of acupuncture. The doctors are trained in a variety of acupuncture treatment techniques. The technique the doctor uses is tailored to your individual needs and comfort level.

Does it hurt?

  • In one word, NO! You might feel a slight ‘pinch’ when a needle is inserted, but usually, there is no lasting pain. In fact, most patients find acupuncture very comfortable and relaxing.

How many treatments?

  • This depends on several factors, such as the severity of your condition, how long you’ve had it, and other complicating factors. Anywhere from 1 to 20 treatments may be necessary.

How long does a treatment last?

  • Most acupuncture treatments last about 30 minutes. Once the treatment is administered, the patient will lie in a dark, quiet room and relax (possibly even sleep) for approximately 30 minutes.
